Yo Quiero Not A Toy

100_3022.JPGIt was the late 90's. It was Taco Bell. They gave these away. Little plush Chihuahua dogs that would repeat a phrase based on the official mascot. Gee, the hottest thing in the world about that time was the Beanie Baby series and they would sell for hundreds. Naturally I thought that this little doggie would be worth more if it remained in the bag, starved for air. Not for children under 3. Throw the bag away as the bag is not a toy. I beg to differ. Ever pretend you're a Star Blazer with a Space 1999 laser gun/flash light with dead batteries on your Star Trek communicator walkie talkie while your TIE fighter is running out of air? Ever slide down a stairway on your blankie named "Soft Softs"? Ever see the "Shaggy Dog" on a B&W television and say "Yeah, I want to be one of those..."? HAHAHA.  Back to the dog in my blog.

100_3024.JPGHandmade in China. Polybag printed in China. Electronics made in China. "Here Lizard Lizard Lizard" was the promotion for the Chalupa and the Godzillla tie in that came out in the late 90's. Of course the voice was dubbed over the original Japanese Mexican  actor Hirohito Del Montez-Rayos by famous mimic and shock jock/podcaster Mike O' Meara ( http://mikeomearashow.com/ ) (Boat! Boat! Boat! Chicken Parm you taste so good! )  I don't even remember what you had to buy and what stipend you had to contribute to take possession of this pooch. A few shekels I guess.

100_3023.JPGAwwww, isn't he cute? See, I think he'll spring to life if I let him out of the bag and he'd go on a killing spree at a nearby Chick Fil-YAY.  Yes, by keeping him in the bag and deprived of all things "finely processed ground beef" and "lard beans" and not smothered in Fritos or Doritos and not splashed with the latest odd Mountain Dew flavor.... he's got to be worth $50,000 on Ebay! They say this poor little dog is racist so the slam shut down the ad campaign.  English MF do you SPEAK IT? "Yo Queiro, GASP!"
