Hello, Junkphiles

dogsmovie.jpegHappy Birthday! It's been awhile since doing a post. Yeah, we had the New Years post up here as a bunch of unexplained photos. That is for another Radiolawn episode sometime in the fall when I use the audio to make 14 shows. Not now. You know, I have a LOT of photos for this Junk Blog but it seems all the fun has went out of blogging. I always wanted to do a blog with the junk I had, then I got the chance. Then, it got to be a lot of work with not a lot of payout. I said I'd never let it go dormant like 80% of the RETAIL blogs I watch. However, it went to ZZZZZ.

Ahhh, but a friend I haven't seen in years stopped in to the bar I've attended for a few years and he said he'd been looking to see when I'd do another entry on this blog, and well, he's right. Why haven't I? I don't know. Yeah, you could say "cry me a river" that these entries take a bit to do and I just don't want to make an entry if there is no comedy involved. For me, it's all about the comedy.  It's not about me being funny, it's about comedy.

So, have I had a change of heart? Well, yeah.  I gotta blow the dust off this place and start again.

So first thing, Isle Of Dogs. I became a huge fan of all things Wes Anderson after watching this movie. It was another movie that really moved the bar for me. I bought a Blu-Ray player just so I could see it in the highest quality. I love this movie. But then, Life Aquatic and Grand Budapest Hotel have become some of my favorite movies to watch over and over. Wes Anderson was robbed by not winning the Oscar for Isle.

Next,  https://www.youtube.com/user/leolego  Leo Moracchioli and Frog Leap Studios. In the last month or so, I've discovered the metal stylings of someone that a few years ago found something that he enjoyed and went all in on it and now makes a living playing some of the best You Tube heavy metal covers out there. He's a guy that in his youth, attempted to make a living doing metal, had some minor success and two albums, got some metal credit and then, found gold in the You Tube age. His videos are just pure joy. That's all I can say. Just do it. Have fun. Maybe you'll make some cake.

For other things personal, I rediscovered writing over drawing and performing what I write again over drawing, so you'll see my Radiolawn site get updated, you'll see new blog entries and you'll hear me do more stupid s*it soon. Oh yeah, and this season of Seth McFarlane's "The Orville" has been so damn good. F joining CBS All Access, just watch what Fox is doing. It's the best SCI-FI on regular TV. Oh, it helps that now I'm a huge fan of Ted and Ted 2. :)
